Product Description
The Model 466 represents a new generation of TCP/IP communications servers for local and remote access applications. It provides the performance level required to handle a diverse range of high speed devices in complex operating environments. The Model 466 enables users to perform many tasks including remote dial-in access, branch connectivity and building Internet sites and allows connections to networks anyway in the world, affording true global access. The Model 466 will support Unix or Windows NT based hosts, providing features such as PPP, SLIP, dial-on-demand and dial-up point of presence. The Model 466 also provides
user authentication, PAP and call logging for high level security on Windows NT based servers.
The Model 466 can provide up to four network connections per port, with a maximum of 64 connections per 16 port unit. Ports can be configured for dedicated connections to a pre-selected host for security reasons or simply ease of use. The unit is simple to install, configure and use via menu driven option screens. The Model 466-8 is configured with 8 DB-25 ports or as the Model 466-16 with 16 DB-25 ports. These units can be wall mounted using the included brackets.
